ClinLicense
The credential file you carry from one job to the next.
Every state license, DEA registration, certification and CME or CE hour, encrypted on your own Mac or phone, whether you practice as a physician, a nurse, a PA or a CRNA. There is no account to make, and we never hold a copy.
Every number, date and board, in one record that only you can open. ClinLicense reads your license cards and certificates on your own device, files each one against the board that issued it, and tells you which renewal to start next.
There are 51 sets of rules, and you only need the ones for your states.
Choose your profession and tap each state where you hold a license. The sheet lists the hours, the required topics and where one course may count twice. It runs inside this page, and nothing you pick is sent anywhere.
PickedEntry not yet verified with the board
These requirements were compiled for planning and are not board-verified. Each state shows the date we last reviewed it, or says that it has not been verified, so confirm with the board before you rely on it.
Renewals arrive one board at a time, each with its own rules.
Texas renews in your birth month, New York on its own two-year schedule, the DEA every three years and a BLS card every two, and a nurse adds a CCRN or CEN certification and a TNCC card to the same list. ClinLicense puts all of them on one line, so you can see a crowded month coming while there is still time to plan for it.

Text recognition runs on your own device. ClinLicense reads the state, number and dates, and anything it is unsure about waits for you to confirm it.
Confirm what it read.
Each field sits next to the part of the document it came from, so a misread date is caught before it is saved.
Follow the renewal checklist.
Starting a renewal adds the steps that credential usually needs, from booking a course to uploading the new card.
Approve it, and the expiry moves forward.
When the board approves, the new date replaces the old one and the next reminder is scheduled on your device.
One record replaces the spreadsheet and the browser tabs.
It reads the card, so you never retype it.
ClinLicense recognises the way each state board prints its licenses, pulls out the state, number, dates and CME hours, and files the document in the right place. Recognition never leaves your device.

One course counts toward every state that accepts it.
Log an activity once and it is credited to each state where it applies. Required topics such as opioid prescribing are broken out, and the opioid planner finds the fewest courses that cover all of your states.
One number says where you stand today.
The Standing score runs from 0 to 100. Every point it takes away is listed with the reason and a button that fixes it, so the number is never a mystery.

Hand the next facility a complete packet, in the order it asked for.
Arrange your documents the way a facility wants them and export one ZIP that holds the files, a combined PDF and a Word profile built from your records.
We cannot lose your file, because we never receive it.
Your vault is sealed with AES-256-GCM on your device before it is written anywhere. If you turn on sync, your OneDrive or a folder you choose receives only sealed files, and the key stays on your devices.

- There is no ClinLicense server.Your records are never sent to us, so there is nothing for us to sell, leak or hand over.
- The app sends no analytics. Its only connections are the public registries you ask it to check and the sync location you choose.
- There has been no independent audit yet.ClinLicense has not had a third-party security review, and we would rather say so here than let you assume otherwise.

Running credentialing for a group? Keep the workspace in your own Microsoft 365.
Medical groups, MSOs and locum agencies share one encrypted workspace that lives in their own SharePoint. Only providers count as seats, so coordinators and viewers are free, and a provider can join a workspace without starting over.

Questions people ask first.
The full list is on the FAQ page.
Is anything I store uploaded?
Nothing you store is uploaded. Your records and documents are encrypted on your own device, and ClinLicense has no account system and no server of its own. If you turn on sync, only sealed files are written to your OneDrive or to a folder you choose. The app also connects to public registries such as NPPES when you ask it to check them.
How does sync work?
You sign in with your Microsoft account, and ClinLicense keeps the vault in a private app folder in your own OneDrive. Every file is sealed before upload, so Microsoft stores only encrypted files and never receives the key. A new device can open the vault only after you approve it from one you already use. You can also sync through any folder you choose instead.
What happens if I lose my computer or phone?
If sync was on, install ClinLicense on the new device, connect the same OneDrive or folder and enter your recovery passphrase. If sync was off, restore from an encrypted backup you exported. Without either, there is nothing for us to recover, because we never had a copy, so keep the passphrase somewhere safe.
Are the state requirements verified?
Some of them are, and some are not yet. The requirements were compiled for planning, and each state page shows the date we last reviewed it or says plainly that it has not been verified. Confirm hours, topics and deadlines with each board before you rely on them, because ClinLicense is not legal or compliance advice.
Can I send my file to a new group without retyping it?
Yes, when the group uses a ClinLicense workspace. You choose one of four levels for what they can see, from status only up to full control, and tick the documents to send. The app seals them so only that group can open them, and you can lower or revoke the level later. If the group doesn’t use ClinLicense, export a credentialing packet instead.
Does it work for nurses?
Yes. ClinLicense tracks RN, LPN and LVN licenses, APRN licenses for nurse practitioners, nurse-midwives, clinical nurse specialists and CRNAs, and multistate licenses issued under the Nurse Licensure Compact. Nursing certifications such as CCRN, CEN, CNOR and PCCN, cards such as TNCC and ENPC, and CE contact hours sit in the same record as any physician or PA credentials a group tracks. Confirm each board’s CE rules with the board itself.
What does it cost?
ClinLicense is free for individual clinicians. Groups that want a shared workspace pay per provider, as the pricing page explains. Because there is no ClinLicense server, there is no hosting fee to pass on.
